Welcome to the website of the Houston Elite Grassroots Basketball Program! A spring and summer grassroots basketball program organized in 2004 with a rich history of excellent players and outstanding achievements.
Our mission is to encourage young men to make good decisions utilizing the team sport of basketball as a channel to teach life- skills. The Houston Elite Boys Grassroots Basketball program is dedicated to helping young men develop the necessary skills to achieve their maximum potential academically and athletically.
Our goal is to build character and self esteem through education and sports at the highest level. Our Five Star Program provides the foundation for academic achievement and guidance needed for the college selection process. Our Coaching staff has over 20 years of professional athletic, college, and coaching experience. Our emphasis is to stress the importance of a good education as well as to train and condition each athlete physically and mentally to reinforce good sportsmanship and disciplinary actions.
Our program teaches that the team concept is an absolute necessity for our athletes. We teach a style of play that requires tremendous intensity on defense and total unselfishness on offense. We demand that our student athletes be in great mental and physical condition.
The Houston Elite organization plan, promote and implement comprehensive activities that aid in the development of youth. We are advocates for academic success and an aggressive style of basketball that emphasizes hard work and personal responsibility. Academic success is a priority for the student athletes that participate in the Houston Elite program. We have developed a partnership with local high schools to provide tutorial assistance for the students enrolled in our basketball program. The team concept is an absolute necessity for our athletes. It is our desire that every player that participates in the Houston Elite program attends college, makes wise decision, and become productive citizens. We want only the best for the players in every phase of their lives on and off the court.
